Sono stati assegnati questa notte a Los Angeles i Grammy Awards che hanno visto la musica di tutto il mondo omaggiare Michael Jackson e tributare onori alle donne che si sono contese i premi maggiori.

La serata è infatti iniziata con il duetto tra Lady Gaga e Elton John e terminata con il tributo a Michael Jackson portato sul palco da Carrie Underwood, Celine Dion, Jennifer Hudson, Smokey Robinson e Usher.

Standing ovation per Mary J. Blige e Andrea Bocelli che si sono esibiti in una versione di Bridge Over Troubled.

A trionfare è stata Beyoncè che si è portata a casa 6 delle ambite statuette non riuscendo però a vincere il premio più importante, quello per il Miglior Album dell’Anno, andato alla giovane stellina del country americano Taylor Swift che si è imposta con l’album Fearless.

Alla Zac Efron Band è andata la palma di Miglior nuovo artista, mentre 21st century breakdown dei Green Day è stato eletto come Miglior album rock dell’anno.
